Phantom of the Opera was originally live-streamed on CultureHub's interactive Broadcaster platform, where audiences could toggle between the show and a live backstage feed. We are thrilled to have developed this new interactive web player that allows you to watch a full recording of Theater in Quarantine’s Phantom of the Opera as it was originally intended, with the ability to toggle backstage whenever you want.
Web-Player Instructions: To toggle between the performance and its behind-the-scenes construction click the small preview window in the lower right corner. We recommend watching in full screen.

“Equal parts chilling, thrilling and incisive”
– New York Times
For ten performances over Halloween 2025, Theater in Quarantine live-streamed Phantom of the Opera from its New York City apartment studio, performed live and broadcast in real time. Following 2023’s Nosferatu: A 3D Symphony of Horror, Phantom continues TiQ’s remote gothic experiments in digital performance commissioned by NYU Skirball. Originally live-streamed to CultureHub's Broadcaster, featuring a brand new dual-streaming system that allowed audiences to toggle between the show and a live backstage feed — offering unprecedented access to the mechanics behind the illusions, unmasked and unmistakably live.
